Summer 2018 Pottery/Clay/Art will once again be held in my new first floor pottery studio which is 100% complete. My Summer 2018 pottery/clay/art camp will be structured similar to last year. Each student will have a pottery wheel to work on for the entire 3 hour camp time. I will have a trained assistant for each session with enrollment of 4 students or more. I believe a smaller class size will allow me to have more time with each student and therefore help each student make more progress developing their pottery skills.
My pottery instruction is geared towards the beginner, intermediate or advanced potter so all can work at their own skill level. We will work with clay on the pottery wheels for all camp sessions on Monday, Tuesdays and the first half of Wednesday. New to our hand building pieces for the second half of Tuesday will be creating pieces with my NEW MKM Wooden Rollers and Stamps and GR Pottery Forms. My year long students have been loving the projects made with these. During the second half of Wednesday and Thursday, while our pottery dries and is bisque fired, we will work with polymer clay, high end beading, glazing slip cast bisque ware and I also have some new craft projects including quilling, wood working and some surprise projects as well!!! Last year we made terrariums with succulents which were a big hit. My age appropriate art/craft projects are geared for boys or girls. Friday will be a day of glazing our stoneware pottery and more fun. Projects will vary for students enrolled in more than one week.
Camp registration should be chosen by your child's age. My sessions are offered for two different age brackets: 9-13 years old and 12-17 years old. I do allow age exceptions but please email me your specific circumstance prior to registering. If you have a child younger that 9, please consider signing them up for one of my Specialty Clay/Art Camp sessions taught in the afternoon at The Connection in Summit. I will be teaching the weeks of 7/2, 8/13 and 8/20 this summer. You can sign up at www.TheConnectionOnline.org
Please feel free to email, text, or call me with any questions you might have.
